Families that enjoy the outdoors will find many activities in Bannau Brycheiniog. As well as the many paths and trails for walkers and cyclists, visitors can also enjoy horse riding, pony trekking, rock climbing and visit the magnificent Dan yr Ogof (National Showcaves Centre for Wales). The more adventurous may like to try canoeing or kayaking on the river Wye or the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal.
Mid Wales boasts miles of unspoilt coastline and award winning beaches. Some of the popular beaches for families may be found at New Quay and Llangrannog that are also some of the best areas for Dolphin and Seal watching. The university town of Aberystwyth has two separate beaches and visitors can enjoy attractions such as the Vale of Rheidol Railway, the Cliff railway, the Castle and the Royal Pier.

There are 3 cottages. 2 of them each provide accommodation for 3 guests and Soar Cottage may accommodate 5. Situated in its own grounds with spectacular views. Upstairs has a double, twin, single and a bathroom. Downstairs there is a kitchen, dining room (doubles up as a Games Room), television lounge, conservatory and also shower room. The utility room is situated between the other 2 cottages. It has a washing machine and airier which is shared by the cottages.
For larger/extended families Myrddin is a large Victorian town house situated in a quiet cul-de-sac by the Marina and South Beach in Aberystwyth. It is conveniently located for the castle, main promenade, bus, rail station and shopping facilities. The house can sleep up to 11 people and offers 6 bedrooms – 2 King, 1 Double, 2 Twin and 1 Single (One ground floor bedroom). In addition, 3 bathrooms consisting of 2 showers, 2 baths and 4 toilets. There is also a Lounge, Dining Room and a Games Room. Outside has an enclosed rear courtyard garden with BBQ

Bed and Breakfast accommodation is offered in the newly built Pentre Farm-House. All rooms have en-suite or private bathrooms, tea/coffee making facilities, TV and DVD players.
There is a self-catering family room on the top floor. A large room with sloping ceilings, sleeps up to 5 plus a cot. The main room doubles as a sitting room in the day time. There is also a well-appointed bathroom, fully equipped kitchen/dining room including microwave, fridge and cooker. High chair and cot available by arrangement.
A drying room available for outdoor clothes. Secure storage can be arranged for mountain bikes or children’s’ outdoor toys. Self-Catering guests have access to a barbecue area and hot tub.
Guests staying on Bed and Breakfast basis, are offered hearty traditional breakfasts with locally-sourced produce. Special diets for vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free can also be catered for by arrangement.
